Blog Tour and Review - Tempting Isabel by Rissa Brahm

Luck. Lust. Love.

Wedding planner Isabel Ruiz is cursed. Her hometown of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico agrees, considering her tragic track record. Alone and loveless, she creates fairy-tale weddings for others. Her only distraction? The occasional anonymous fling. So to avoid further tragedy, her rule, one–night–only, is never broken…

Until Zack.

Self-made millionaire Zack James is in town for his brother’s wedding, when a sudden spell of depression hits. Maybe burned out by his fast and luxurious lifestyle? Not even his two female companions hold any interest.

That is, until he meets Isabel.

She humbles and captivates him, reigniting his thirst for life. With her, Zack feels more alive than ever. To his delight—and her dismay—they share a deep bond, a sensual connection, and one mind-bending night.

Zack must have her – to complete him. And Isabel must escape him – to save him.

Their game of catch and chase leads to lust-turned-love. For Isabel, it's fate’s cruelest joke. But Zack won’t quit, positive he’s the cure to her curse. Can he convince her to risk everything with him? Or will it all go south…in paradise.

I loved reading this book.  It was quite intense and I have never been so frustrated in my life!  What I mean is it left me hanging like when you’re getting down to it with your other half and they tease you and leave you!  Parts of the story were just like this I was like omg what???!!!  The waiting to see if the story was going to work out how I thought it would it was always will they, won’t they?

The suspense made me want to keep reading and I was hooked until the end. It had parts of it that were sweet and lovely and other parts that were sexy and hot!  It all worked together wonderfully.

I enjoyed that it was based in Mexico and I could imagine everything the location and everything that was described like I was there.  I loved the way some of the anatomy was described some of it made me laugh out loud like ‘velvety lotus’and ‘his magic wand tickled her starbust’ while it didn’t detract from the story me laughing out loud at this obviously intimate scenes it amused me that it was down to earth as well.

The characters were easy to connect with and there were twists that I didn’t see coming until later in the book.  I could have perhaps predicted some of what happened if I hadn’t been too engrossed in the whole story that I wasn’t even thinking about what was coming next I was just in the present of what I was reading.  I connected and enjoyed the story it sounds strange but I was pulled in to it without being a part of it.  I was able to read the story, be pulled in but not feel a part of it (which is good otherwise it would have been a threesome rather than the two person love story it was)

This is the first book I have read by Rissa and I can’t wait to read the rest of them.  I would highly recommend this book but I don’t want to gush or give too much away.  I usually give 5 stars to books that will stay with me long after I have read them but I enjoyed it this so much I am giving it 5 stars.
